Meet your next favourite author!

Steve Ghikadis is a Humanist Officiant who conducts secular, life-affirming ceremonies. Raised as a freethinker and holding degrees in History and Education has opened his exploration of beliefs.  His book Humanism from the Heart: Building Bridges Beyond Belief fosters understanding across worldviews. In 2024, he was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his community work.

K.G. Miceli is the Amazon bestselling author of book, "Tales of Texas Road: Amherstburg, Ontario," and a multi award-winning author that was also nominated for Author of the Year in Hollywood, California. Known as the local haunted historian, she takes true personal experiences with the unknown, and weaves them into stories sure to leave you covered in goosebumps.

John Schlarbaum has been writing since 2005, creating mystery and thriller novels, children’s books, a self-help guide, and a music memoir that recently hit #1 on two Amazon Best Sellers lists. A former Private Investigator, television writer, bookstore co-owner, and CBC Radio book reviewer, he now co-hosts the “Music Virgins No More” podcast. His diverse life experiences feed directly into his work as a storyteller.

Sara Macri works as a full-time crematorium operator. She holds three diplomas, one of which is in journalism. In her spare time away from the writing desk, she enjoys practicing multiple mediums of circus arts, reading, and watching as many documentaries as she can. Her spouse and precious kitty Wilhelm are the light of her universe.

Rosalind Knight has spent a lifetime rooted in Kingsville—summers at Cedar Beach and fifty-plus years on Road 3. A retired high school English and Creative Writing teacher, she celebrates local life through her writing. Her poetry collection from where the barn door used to be captures the spirit of growing up in the area, while her novel That Summer at the Mettawas blends family stories with Kingsville’s history.

Anne Beneteau is a retired teacher, librarian, and administrator who believes in the power of storytelling to connect people. Now caring for her husband Dennis, she’s been inspired by his childhood tales along River Canard to write Tales from the Creek: Winter Skates and Summer Shenanigans—heartwarming collections celebrating memory, laughter, and legacy.

Catherine Thompson, a native of Newmarket, Ontario, has lived in Kingsville for the past five years. A retired nurse, baker, and cook, she draws on her experiences as a student nurse in London, England, in her upcoming book Joy as it Flies, a fictionalized memoir. Catherine is active in local writing groups and credits fellow authors for inspiring and supporting her journey as a writer.

Marcy Lane writes heartfelt Canadian fiction about love, loss and the quiet courage it takes to begin again. Her debut novel, A Mercy of Widows, blends humour, hope and humanity in a story that celebrates resilience and connection. When she’s not writing, Marcy can be found walking her dogs along Lake Erie, collecting stories, and plotting her next mystery set in the fictional town of Erie Bluff.

Darrow Woods is a retired United Church minister from Kingsville who writes cozy mysteries set in small towns full of charm and quirky characters. His latest, The Book of Christmas Joy, follows his award-nominated Rev. Thomas Book Mysteries series and takes place in the fictional Lake Erie town of Sun Parlour.
